Build Sustainability into Your Life - Avoid Disposable Items

Single-use items, designed to be thrown away after use fill our landfills. Plastic is often the most common material for single-use items.  90% of plastic single-use items are never recycled. Disposable plastic items don’t biodegrade, they just break into micro-particles that contaminate our environment.

  • Buy a water bottle that you can refill
  • Refuse the straw – just say ‘no straw’ please
  • Use cloth napkins instead of paper
  • Use silicone covers instead of plastic wrap
