Passing of Brian "Scott" Wray, Health and Physical Education Retiree

The MCC family is saddened to learn of the passing of Brian “Scott” Wray, a retiree of the Health and Physical Education Department, on July 1, 2022.

Mr. Wray joined MCC as a locker room attendant in 1980 and was promoted to a senior position in 2005.

He was often praised for his professionalism and outstanding job performance. His spirit of cooperativeness and efficiency was reflected in a commendation letter from a dean many years ago: “The day locker room staffing was your challenge, and you met it well. Classes had facilities access because you improved, adjusted, and continued to provide service. It’s a pleasure to me to know you’re one of the first people I’ll encounter every morning. And, when I see you, I know students are being served. Thank you!”

After 40 years of service, Mr. Wray retired in 2020.

He is survived by wife Victoria, five children, a granddaughter, two siblings, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. His full obituary can be found online.

MCC extends condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. We are grateful for his contributions and service to MCC.
