Michele Norris' Presentations Generate Media Coverage


WXXI AM 1370, Time Warner Cable News, and the Democrat and Chronicle reported on Michele Norris’ visit to MCC on Monday, April 21. Norris is best-selling author of “The Grace of Silence: A Memoir,” an award-winning journalist, and founder of The Race Card Project.

Her visit was part of MCC’s Alice Holloway Young, Ed.D. Power of Diversity Series. The event was sponsored by the MCC Diversity Council with support from the Rochester Area Community Foundation.

COMING UP: On Thursday, April 24, WXXI News’ “Need to Know Rochester” television program will include a segment on Michele Norris. The program airs at 8 p.m. and rebroadcasts Saturday, April 26, at 12:30 p.m. on WXXI-TV. WXXI captured video footage of Damon City Campus students interacting with Norris when she visited them on Monday morning. The students are in Tokeya Graham’s Literature of the Black Experience class and in Verdis Robinson’s The City in American History class.
