5:00 to 5:30 PM - Presentation: Voluntourism in Latin America
Learn how you can help people and learn about other cultures and languages. Professor Steven Farrington will discuss volunteer trips to the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua in which he practiced Spanish, worked side-by-side with locals and other volunteers, and had a meaningful experience along with some fun.
5:30 to 5:45 PM - Presentation: Panamanian Tembleques by Evelyn Cassano
(Tembleques are hair ornaments and an important part of Panamanian traditional dress.)
5:45 to 6:30 PM - Latin American Folk Dances
Grupo Cultural Latinos en Rochester, NY and Avenue D Latino Dance Group
6:30 to 7:00 PM - Merengue and Cumbia Dance Lessons
