On April 25th, Academy for Veterans’ Success Coordinator Eric Wheeler presented on Military Culture and Transitional Challenges at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ Legal Summit at the Rochester Public Safety Building. The summit was an opportunity for community partners in the justice system to become familiar with the Residential Recovery Treatment Programs (RRTP) being provided at VA Medical Centers in Upstate New York. The event was attended by Treatment Court staff from the NYS Unified Courts, local judges, pre-trial service providers, the offices of NYS Parole and Probation, and other organizations working to serve local veterans with legal issues.
