Monroe Community College's Skills, Training, Academic Growth and Employment (STAGE) program has received $188,833 to fund its Year Round Youth initiative for the 2002-2003 academic year. Year Round Youth prepares high school dropouts for the GED exam, college or the workforce.
The grant money came from the Workforce Investment Board, which distributed the funding through the Rochester Resource Alliance, Inc.
Located at the Damon City Campus, 228 E. Main Street, Year Round Youth serves 60 students, ages 16-21, through two components: a paid summer internship and GED, college, vocational or workforce entry preparation.
