Last week a group from the 3rd floor of the Spina Administration Building celebrated National Poetry Month with a haiku slam with a theme “passing of winter/arrival of spring.”
Below are a few more haikus that were shared later in the day:
The sounds of haiku
Joyful gems from me and you
Gleam like morning dew
Open the window
Breathe in the lilac fragrance
Spring in Rochester
Limbs stretch to the sun
Tender blooms begin to grow
Spring is close at hand
Get hence winter ghouls
We are not cold weather fools
Spring snaps icy tools
Spring’s sun’s warmth melts snow
Ground bursts forth in bright color
What took it so long
