Coronavirus: Special Blackboard Training Sessions
In an effort to prepare for instructional continuity that might result from an outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, our instructional designers are offering a special face-to-face version of their "Blackboard Level 1" training. Blackboard Level 1 training is always available online as a self-paced training module. If you have not already been trained in Blackboard or you would like a refresher, please consider taking either the special face-to-face session or the online module. Both options will help you create a blackboard course shell where you will be able to communicate with students, post alternative assignments, and keep students on track with their coursework. Specifically, by the end of either of the training sessions, you will be able to:
- Upload your syllabus and lecture materials so your students can access them outside of class time,
- Provide announcements and reminders to keep your students on track,
- Link to online resources that supplement what you do in the classroom, and
- Use the Blackboard Grade Center to post student grades.
As you can see below, sessions will be held at multiple times, locations, and modes. And again, you can always enroll in our self-paced online training for Level 1 as an alternative to these special face-to-face sessions.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
