The 2013 McMurry Lectures is Gerardo Vildostegui, Assistant Professor of Constitutional Law at Rutgers University, who will speak on democratic ideals and the status of Puerto Rico. Professor Vildostegui will address the tensions between the autonomy of democratic peoples and the Puerto Rican’s lack of congressional representation and the discretion of Congress to change Puerto Rico’s status.
The lecture is April 12 at noon in 5-100.
