Renee Dimino’s TRS 101 class researched and designed a fundraising campaign to raise money for Global African Village as their Service-Learning project. Under Professor Dimino’s guidance, students’ global awareness improved along with their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. Students described participating in this project as “sensational, powerful, tremendous, satisfying, and collaborative”. The class raised $531 to support the Bagishu Tribe in Uganda. The money will be used to help provide clean water, educational supplies, health care, and more.
