Support Your Colleagues at Next Week's Institute for the Humanities Event!

On October 11th, MCC’s Institute for the Humanities (IFH) and Division of Diversity, Equity & Belonging will host Title IX at 50: The History and  Future of Landmark Legislation.

In recognition of the 50th anniversary of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, this event explores and celebrates the legislation’s impact on American society through a photography exhibition and panel of experts who will speak to the ways in which Title IX has shaped women’s sports, educational opportunity, campus culture, and more.

Our panel includes the following esteemed speakers:

Tamar Carroll, Chair, Department of History Rochester Institute of Technology
Bethany Gizzi Professor, Sociology Monroe CC
Shannon Glasgow, Director, Title IX Monroe CC (Moderator)
Iris Zimmermann, Olympic/World Championship fencer Founder, Monarch Leadership Group

This event is free and open to the public, but all attendees must register in advance.

Please consider attending this meaningful event and encourage our students to do the same. Also, please see the attached flyer for more details.
