Kudos from Colleagues to Facilities

Dalvin Miles (Custodial Operations)

  • Dalvin volunteered for the Custodial Lead role in our department and seized every opportunity to learn about being a leader in Custodial Operations.  He showed great initiative by recognizing departmental needs and completing tasks without prompting.  Dalvin expressed caring for our employees and dedication to MCC.

Do not forget to scroll down and celebrate our wonderful faculty . Stay tuned for more kudos!!!

Pamela Fornieri (ESOL and Transitional Studies)

  • I think Professor Pamela Fornieri is one of the best Professor in the MCC in the time. She is very helpful and she's always working hard on students. Also, the most important she's kind with students and thinks the students like her own child. She is a little talkative but on the other hand I really like to listen to her lectures for a long time. Because they're instructive.

Paul Emerick (Biology), Receiving 3 Nominations

  • Prof. Emerick has been such an amazing professor this semester! He really wants all of his students to succeed! From staying after class and providing extra review sessions to giving extra credit. He is such a kind, funny and humble professor. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better!
  • Professor Emerick by far has been one of the best professors I have ever had. He goes out of his way to help us succeed and he never looks at us differently when we didn’t do our best on a test. Instead, he helps us with what we could do differently to increase our grade or help us study efficiently. He is thorough in every lecture and wants nothing but the best for his students. Professor Emerick goes above and beyond and doesn’t trick his students either when it comes to studying the correct material. He tries his best to be accessible and he just loves his job. He treats every lecture like it’s a new semester, he is up beat and every time he talks about his dog it makes the class light up! Professor Emerick is the best!
  • Professor Emerick has an enthusiastic approach when teaching BIO-133. Lecture hours can seem prolonged except for when he's teaching. He explains what we are learning in a way that students can relate which makes the course easier to comprehend. I also have the amazing opportunity to have him as my lab instructor. Professor Emerick makes labs very interactive and creates a friendly environment where ever he is!

Paul Seeburger  (Mathematics)

  • Throughout my education career, math has never been a strong suit of mine. Professor Seeburger provides courage for students who struggle, and is so incredibly patient and kind. He notices the work that students put in, and lets us know that he sees and hears us. Professor Seeburger is so intelligent and I am so lucky to have him as my professor.

Pete Mikesell (Chemistry and Geoscience)

  • Professor Mikesell is an exceptional educator who has a profound impact on his students. He has the ability to transform even the most challenging subjects into engaging and enjoyable learning experiences. His passion for chemistry is infectious, and his dedication to his students is unwavering. He is a brilliant individual with a deep understanding of his field, and he is always willing to share his knowledge with others. Professor Mikesell is a true inspiration, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have learned from him.

Peter Francione (Criminal Justice and Legal Studies)

  • Francione makes class enjoyable by bringing in personal stories. He is easy to talk to and will give insight when able to.

Ralph Toscano (Business Administration)

  • Professor Toscano shows true dedication to student success and has made a significant impact on my learning experience at MCC and in Accounting 101. I struggled at the beginning of the semester and needed extra help. Professor Toscano is very approachable and made it simple to see him for extra assistance. He will always go the extra mile to ensure our understanding of the course material.

Renee Henton (ESOL and Transitional Studies)

  • Mrs. Henton is the nicest and most wonderful people I've had at MCC so far. She is helpful and giving me extra time on assignments and emailed me every time I needed help or haven't turned in my work yet. we haven't met in person but she has helped me out a lot.

Richard Stevens (Biology)

  • Since day one, he made sure students knew he and his classroom is a 'safe' place. He motivates us and make sure to let us students know we're appreciated. Always has a good attitude and makes the class interesting and fun. Makes everyone feels welcome, safe and accepted. He apologizes when wrong, which adults don't do often especially other professors. He is a great professor and human being.

Rita Straubhaar (World Languages and Culture)

  • My professor has been a wonderful support this semester. When I was hospitalized and needed to miss a few classes, she made sure to reach out to inform me of any work I was missing and provided the exams online so that I could take them on my own time. She has been a phenomenal teacher and has gifted me a true appreciation for Deaf culture. Thanks so much, you rock, Rita!

Robert Muhlnickel (English and Philosophy)

  • I have Professor Muhlnickel for Philosophy 103: Introduction to Ethics. He is a very intelligent person who portrays his thoughts and the main ideas of what we are talking about very well. What we go over in class is somewhat complex, yet he speaks with such ease that shows his complete mastery and understanding for what he is teaching. He is very soft-spoken and humorous, and has a wisdom that one really would aspire for. He genuinely has changed my perspective on life, and I am really thankful for him as a professor.

Ryan Clemens (Chemistry), Receiving 2 Nominations

  • Dr. Clemens is the most down to earth professor i have ever had. He is understanding and kind. He makes learning fun while still getting his points across. I learn very fast in his class and retain information that he teaches very well.
  • Professor Clemens makes chemistry exciting. He really cares about student success and making concepts understandable. There is no busy work, all assignments are designed to build upon what topic we are learning. I wish every student would take one of his courses. He turns a tough subject into relatable material. Honestly, one of the best professors I have had throughout my college experience.
