On Saturday, April 9th, MCC hosts its third Scholars’ Day to draw students and visitors into the intellectual excitement of scholarly work. The day is meant to be a celebration, an opportunity to recognize the accomplishments of MCC students, faculty and staff. It’s a day meant to showcase the powerful potential of collaborative learning and promote scholarship across disciplines. Please plan on attending this day-long event which features a wide variety of sessions including: Women in Literature: Past and Present, The Physics of Curling, Building a Suspension Bridge, The Sustainable Forester Robot, Mapping Mt. Hope Cemetery, and more.
This year’s Scholars’ Day features a keynote address by award-winning Journalist, Author and Social Critic Barbara Ehrenreich. Dr. Ehrenreich will present in the Brighton Campus Theatre at 9:30 a.m.
