Black History Month Oversight

Whoops—sorry!
Regardless of our best efforts, it appears that we inadvertently excluded information about the Black History Display.  We have a display both at the Brighton Campus and the Downtown Campus. We all know that communication is always key and with no excuses we apologize. It’s our bad.
Please encourage your students (regardless of what campus they are on) to take the opportunity to explore and learn about the contributions that Black people have contribute to America.

The display is located on the second floor near the Student Lounge at the Downtown Campus and outside of the PRISM Multicultural Center along the Brick Lounge (Building 1).  Faculty are encouraged to bring their classes, test your knowledge and memory of several historical leaders that are showcased in the display.  Everyone is also encouraged to stop in the cultural center to see some of the art work also.

This event is sponsored and supported by:

  • PRISM Multicultural Center
  • AAWCC (American Association of Women in Community Colleges)
  • Campus Events;
  • FYE (First Year Experience)
  • WOE (Women of Excellence)
  • AAAG (African American Affinity Group)
  • PEACE (Programming Educators for Action, Collaboration & Equity)
