Learn CPR. Save a life!

In 2022 only 40% of out of hospital cardiac arrests received bystander CPR. Only 11.3% of patients who arrested in public had a bystander applied Automated External Defibrillator (AED.) These numbers were even lower within minority populations. We know patients who receive immediate bystander CPR and early defibrillation have a significantly increased rate of survival. Therefore, it is vital we engage the community to learn this valuable skillset. You never know when someone could encounter an emergency; be it at home, grocery store or in school. Your quick actions could be the difference between life and death.

The Public Safety Training Facility will be holding American Heart Association "Heart Saver" CPR/AED classes on the following dates/times:

  • July 10th - 12:00pm to 4:00pm & 4:30pm to 8:30pm
  • July 17th - 12:00pm to 4:00pm & 4:30pm to 8:30pm
  • July 24th - 12:00pm to 4:00pm & 4:30pm to 8:30pm

Classes are $55.00 per person and will certify you in the skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED.)

If you are interested in this training, please contact Tim Hutchings via email: THutchings001@monroecc.edu with the date/time you'd like to attend. Classes are limited to 10 people per session.
