Congratulations to Chef Chris Januzzi for winning Rochester's Chef-of-the-Year!
Congratulations goes to Hospitality Department’s Chef Chris Januzzi on his American Culinary Federation – Rochester chapter Chef-of-the-Year win, the chapters highest honor!
Chef Januzzi competed in the American Culinary Federation (ACF) Chef of the Year competition on Monday, November 13th. Competing chefs are tasked with preparing a dinner entrée complete with a protein, starch and vegetable component. Participants are given 1-hour 15-minutes and are provided with a station of ingredients upon arrival, with a mystery protein shared with them at the start of the competition. Chef Januzzi’s winning dish was sauteed fluke, zucchini and sweet potato latke, a chickpea pork belly ragu, with charred shallot, and lemon butter.
