A Constitution Day Discussion: What Does Democracy Mean To You?

The Democracy Commitment at MCC and the Department of Anthropology, History, Political Science, and Sociology are sponsoring A Constitution Day Discussion: What Does Democracy Mean to You? Join Christina Lee (Anthropology), Njeru Murage (History), Nayda Pares-Kane (Sociology), and Joe Scanlon (Political Science) for an interactive discussion about the meaning of Democracy in American society and politics. Panelists will discuss what democracy means to them personally and what it means to study democracy through the lens of their field. This includes a discussion of the historical, philosophical, social, and political features of American democracy. This is an interactive opportunity to learn about the features of American democracy and share your expectations for American Democracy. This event is free and open to the public.
