Happy Valentine's Day! Stop by the Title IX Table for candy and games

Happy Valentine's Day. The Title IX office is celebrating by tabling near the cafeteria. Stop by to grab some candy or to play our 'Consent Fact or Crap' Game!

February is Teen Violence Dating month and our office is honoring this time by focusing on affmirative consent. Dating violence is more common than you may think, especially among teens and young adults: 1 in 3 U.S. teens will experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse from someone they’re in a relationship with before they become adults. And nearly half (43%) of U.S. college women report experiencing violent or abusive dating behaviors.Girls are particularly vulnerable to experiencing violence in their relationships and are more likely to suffer long-term behavioral and health consequences, including suicide attempts, eating disorders, and drug use.
