Recording of the Special Town Hall Meeting on November 15, 2023

Earlier today, the MCC tribune posted an article regarding the ViewFinder campus climate survey. This article referenced the term “raw data” which may have caused some confusion. To provide some clarity, the anonymity of survey participants is sacred as it provides the opportunity for individuals to confidently share their feedback. Therefore, the shared results will ensure that the anonymity of those who participated will be protected.  In addition, today’s posting contained a link to files that have not yet been made public or cleared ADA compliance checks. Please understand that we are in the process of reviewing the files to ensure ADA compliance and to ensure all are following established protocols as we prepare to release the survey information. We are working diligently to provide this information in timely manner and will do so as soon as we have achieved these goals.  

Thank you to those who were able to attend the Special Town Meeting on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, to discuss the result of the Viewfinder Campus Climate Survey that was administered during the spring 2023 term.  As promised during the Special Town Hall meeting, we stated that there would be two things shared with the college community by Friday, November 17, 2023:

  • the recording of the Special Town Hall Meeting
  • excel spreadsheets with the results from the Viewfinder Campus Climate Survey, minus any information that would be deemed identifiable for those who submitted comments will be available on the IR website as of Friday, November 17, 2023.

As a reminder, a Summary of Expectations (SOE) inclusive of a timeline is being developed for the IDEA Council and that SOE will be reviewed by the ELT and then shared with the IDEA Council.  The deadline for the draft of the Diversity, Equity and Belonging Plan is January 31, 2023.  If you have thoughts or are interested in being a part of the development process, please contact the Co-Chairs, Christina Lee (clee40@monroecc.edu) or April Daniels (daniels010@monroecc.edu).
