Course Learning Outcomes - It's that time again!

Now that we have all settled in to fall semester, it is time to turn our collective attention to the joy of administrative necessities – such as Course Learning Outcomes. As all 200-level CLOs should have been submitted, approved and included on Course Information Sheets at this point, departments now need to repeat the same process for all 100-level courses, utilizing the same process.

To ensure speedy approval and minimum frustration, remember to make sure all CLOs are phrased as a measurable outcome, which would finish the phrase, “after successful completion of the course, students will be able to . . .”

For those departments that have already begun to submit 100-level CLOs, thank you. Your efforts will go a long way towards making this a stress-free experience for the college. For those departments which have yet to do so, please begin the process as soon as possible.

All 100-Level Course Learning Outcomes are due by May 1, 2009.

Please refer to the attached document for the CLO submission process.

On behalf of the Course Learning Outcomes committee and Curriculum Office,

Thank you.
