Welcome Dr. Margaret Semmer, Provost and Vice President, Academic and Student Affairs

Dear MCC Faculty, Staff and Students,

Please join me in welcoming Provost and Vice President, Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Margaret Semmer to MCC! Provost and Vice President Semmer will join MCC on February 1. She recently served as Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana, Lake County Campus.

Provost and Vice President Semmer’s offices are located in the Academic Services Provost & Vice President suite, Spina Administration Building, 1-309 C and at the Downtown Campus in 3-310 A, where she will also maintain regular office hours.

Please also join me in extending gratitude to Dr. Kimberly McKinsey-Mabry for the excellence of her service as Acting Provost and Vice President, Academic and Student Affairs since January 2022, and Acting Vice President, Student Services since July 2020. Effective February 1, Dr. McKinsey-Mabry will transition to the role of Special Assistant to the President, reporting directly to Dr. Burt-Nanna.  The College will benefit from her continued service and expertise through August 2023, as Dr. McKinsey-Mabry will provide oversight and implementation support to College projects and initiatives identified by the President.
