The MCC Board of Trustees held its meeting in the Board Room on the Brighton Campus on Monday, October 10, and took the following actions:
1. Approved the Consent Calendar, containing past meeting minutes, operating disbursements, personnel appointments, compensation, promotions and separations from service.
2. Accepted the interim financial reports as of June 30 and July 31, 2011.
3. Authorized the purchase of items over $20,000 as listed for the months of June and July, 2011.
4. Authorized the transfer of funds between accounts.
5. Appointed Sheila Strong as executive assistant to the President, effective August 29, 2011 through August 31, 2012.
6. Appointed Ellen Mancuso, retired from the Library, to Associate Professor Emerita status.
7. Approved the retirement of Laurence N. Berking, ESOL/Foreign Languages, effective July 31, 2011.
8. Approved the compensation of President Anne M. Kress, effective September 1, 2011 through August 31, 2012, and extended her contract through August 31, 2015.
9. Corrected typographical errors in the last month's resolution setting salaries of non-contract administrators. (Two salaries were in error.)
10. Conducted an executive session pursuant to Public Officers Law Section 105, subsection h.
