East High School Iron Chef Competition

President Kress is serving as a “celebrity” sous chef at the East High School Iron Chef Competition, featuring the Food Network’s Daisy Martinez.  Five students from East High’s culinary arts program will be competing for the title of Iron Chef, and the winner will receive a full scholarship to attend MCC.  The event will raise funds for East High’s culinary program.  Tickets are $25 each and include a buffet provided by program students—and the opportunity to see a number of community leaders test their mettle in the kitchen.  In addition to President Kress, other sous chefs include Superintendent Jean-Claude Brizard, Mayor Robert Duffy, Salvatore’s Pizza Founder Sal Fantauzzo, and East High Principal Anibal Soler.  The competition takes place Friday, March 19, 6:00-9:00 pm, at East High School. For more information, please call 288-3130, ext 4515.
