Call for Abstract Submissions - 2024 AACC Annual Conference

The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) Annual Conference will be held on April 5 thru 9, 2023, in Louisville, Kentucky. AACC is currently seeking abstract submissions for agenda consideration.

All MCC employees are invited to consider forwarding an abstract for MCC’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT) consideration.

Please forward your abstract to Maureen Karlnoski (mkarlnoski@monroecc.edu) on or before Monday, October 16.

The following are guidelines to assist with your abstract draft. See also complete abstract submission details on the AACC website.

  • Theme: Racing Towards a Better Future
  • Presentation Types: Select one
    • Poster
    • Lecture
    • Campfire
  • Primary Tracks: Select one. Once your primary focus is selected, subcategories for that focus will be listed; select one subcategory.
    • The Student Experience
    • Economic Mobility for Ali
    • Institutional Transformation
    • Pipelines and Partnerships
    • Emerging Trends and Issues
    • Leadership and Professional Development
    • Teaching and Learning (faculty-focused)
  • Other details to include: Title (66-character limit), description (85-word count), and why the audience will care about the topic you are presenting (85-word limit).

The ELT looks forward to receiving your abstract submission highlighting MCC’s excellence. MCC is an institutional American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) member and Dr. Burt-Nanna sits on the AACC Commission on Structured Pathways, which focuses on strategies for scaling community college pathways across systems, states, and the nation, and contributes to the development of the AACC Pathways resources and related work through identification of pertinent resources, technical assistance expertise, and college examples, as well as through review of emerging evidence on the efficacy of pathways.
