News from the MCC Board of Trustees Meeting


The MCC Board of Trustees took the following actions at yesterday’s board meeting:

1. Accepted the interim financial reports as of August 31, September 30 and October 31, 2010.

2. Authorized the purchase of items over $10,000 for the months of August, September and October 2010.


3. Amended the 2009-10 operating expenses from the budgeted amount of $117,437,700 to the final adjusted amount of $116,812,407 in accordance with the Annual Financial Report for the year ended August 31, 2010.

4. Approved the Annual Financial Report to SUNY for the fiscal year ended August 31, 2010.

5. Authorized the lease of 10,000 sq. ft. of facility space at 2250 Brighton-Henrietta Townline Road for a period of four years and 11 months at the rental rate of $15 per sq. ft., subject to approval by the Monroe County Executive.

6. Authorized the increase of the purchase threshold from $10,000 to $20,000 effective December 6, 2010 to align with the new bidding threshold as established by New York State General Municipal Law effective June 22, 2010.

7. Authorized the transfer of $199,306 between accounts.

8. Approved the appointment of Hyeyeon (Holly) Cicconi-Eggleston as assistant director, Human Resources effective Nov. 15, 2010 at an annual salary of $62,000.


9. Approved the appointment of Todd Oldham as vice president of economic development and innovative workforce services at an annual salary of $163,000. (Please see related Tribune announcement.)

10. Approved the retirement of Anne Ranczuch (Jan. 21, 2011), Randall Rezabek (Nov. 1, 2010) and Ann White (Jan. 2, 2011) in accordance with Article 27 of the contractual agreement between Monroe Community College and the Faculty Association.


11. Honored Wayne Zyra for his service on the MCC Board of Trustees. Mr. Zyra has stepped down from the board; the Monroe County Legislature has appointed Jeff Adair, president of the county legislature, to fill the remainder of Mr. Zyra’s term (which concludes June 30, 2011).
