News from Services for Students with Disabilities

We would like to thank the faculty and staff for helping students with disabilities to get off to a good start this semester.  Disability coordinators from other campus settings remind us of how fortunate we are to have a well informed, caring group of people to support our students in their quest for independence.  You are appreciated!

This semester, Arlene will be writing a regular newsletter to let you know about some of the most common challenges and privileges we have when supporting students with specific educational needs.  We would like to hear from you about your most pressing concerns and need for specific information.  Just e-mail, call, or stop in to see us in Building 3, Room 105.

Most of you have a syllabus statement which notifies students that they should register with our office if they need special accommodations.  Please remember that a student should bring you a letter from our office verifying a need for extended time for tests, assistive technology, or other services.

We look forward to your questions, concerns, and suggestions.
