The 3 to 6  Initiative: Focus on Youth Conference

The Human Service Club, in collaboration with the City of Rochester, will be sponsoring a conference on Saturday, March 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Damon City Campus.  The conference will focus on the challenges that our youth face today and on the resources and programs that are making a difference in our community.  The conference will begin with a keynote address given by Anthony Jordan, Assistant Commissioner of Recreation for the City of Rochester.  Participants will be able to select two workshops on topics such as “Bullying as a Pathway to Gang Formation,” “The Biz Kids,” and “Developmental Assets.”  Participants will be able to choose from ten workshops.  A luncheon panel will address some of the new initiatives in our community to help youth. This conference is free and is open to students, faculty, staff and community members who work in youth programs. Registration is required.

Registration forms can be picked up at the Human Services Office or at the Campus Center at the Damon Campus.
