The Chemistry and Geosciences Department will be hosting GIS (Geographical Information Systems) Day. From 6 to 7 pm on Wed, Nov 16th (8-300), you are invited to attend a GIS panel discussion and ask local area experts questions you may have about GIS. Panel members include: Dr. Jim Kernan (Geography Professor at SUNY Geneseo), Peter M. Rothfuss (The Rothfuss Group, LLC), Andrew Mendola (Educational Planning Manager at Pictometry), and Razy Kased (MCC Adjunct Faculty and Planner/GIS Specialist G/FLRPC).

Take GIS at MCC by enrolling in GEG 130 (Digital Earth). GEG 130 is a 3 credit natural science course (SUNY General Education). It is scheduled to run Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30 to 2:20 pm spring of 2012. An evening section will also be offered from 6-7:50 pm.
