Economic & Workforce Development Center hosts Entrepreneurial Resource Fair

MCC's Economic & Workforce Development Center hosted an Entrepreneurial Resource Fair on Friday, October 20th, on the 7th floor at the Downtown Campus. More than 50 people attended. The event included a keynote address from Rayna Brooks of The Mobile Spa, and a panel discussion from MCC Launch Your Business graduates, Nita Brown and Kyvaughn Henry, all sharing about their different paths to success as local business owners.

Ten local Entrepreneurial Support Organizations (ESOs) participated with resource tables at the event. Present ESOs included: MCC's Economic & Workforce Development Center, Rochester Economic Development Corp. (REDCO), Venture Jobs Foundation, RIT Center for Urban Entrepreneurship (CUE), The Commissary, SCORE Greater Rochester, Small Business Development Corp. (SBDC), The Enterprise Center at PathStone, Urban League of Rochester - Entrepreneurship Assistance Center, and Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS).

As a part of the Small Business Administration Community Navigator Program, we hope this event expands entrepreneurial connections and ideas within the community.

Thank you to all the Economic & Workforce Development staff who made this event a success.
