Congratulations and Farewell to Jessica Saltzberg

Congratulations and farewell to Jessica Saltzberg as she leaves MCC to be Associate Director of MCAS (Multicultural Center for Academic Success) at RIT. Jessica most recently worked as Coordinator for the ESL Grant, which includes Strong Foundations and Pathways to MCC (formerly Pathways to College). Jessica grew both programs from their modest beginnings into their current forms, and navigated them through countless obstacles and complications. Today, the programs support approximately 200 students per year as they strengthen their math and English skills in Strong Foundations and work toward their high school equivalency in Pathways to MCC.

Prior to her role as Coordinator for the ESL Grant, Jessica taught as an adjunct in both the English and ESOL/TRS Departments, and as a temporary full-time instructor for English/Philosophy department. She served as part-time coordinator of partnership with Monroe High School, part-time program assistant for Dual Enrollment, part-time coordinator/advisor for partnership with Rochester Early College International High School, Interim Coordinator of Title III Grant, and Interim Coordinator of Dual Enrollment. This deep and varied experience has made Jessica extraordinarily valuable, and her contributions to RIT will be considerable. We will miss Jess not just for her competence and skill, but also for her dedication to students and her positive, unflappable personality.
