Dual Credit Reception

The Division of Interdisciplinary Programs is pleased to report that the annual Dual Credit Reception, hosted by the School to College Alliances Office, was held on Wednesday, September 22nd, in the Warshof Conference Center of the R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center.

Faculty from 12 academic departments and the Campus Center greeted high school principals, high school teachers and coordinators representing 22 schools from around Monroe County as they gathered to meet, plan and network on behalf of our Dual Credit students. This annual event is held each fall to provide an opportunity for the school district contacts and high school faculty to work together with MCC faculty to assure a quality program for high school students.

Thanks to the academic deans, the offices of Enrollment Management and the Campus Center for the wonderful door prizes and favors which were donated and appreciated by all winners. Thanks to MCC faculty liaisons who supervise the Dual Credit curriculum so Monroe County high school students can enroll concurrently in MCC credit courses while attending high school.  Last year we enrolled more than 3500 Monroe County high school students in the Dual Credit program.
