Jason McElwain, the autistic 17-year-old Greece Athena basketball manager who captured the hearts of people everywhere after scoring 20 points in his only varsity game, will participate in the donkey basketball game Monday, May 1 at 7 p.m. in the MCC gymnasium.
"J-Mac" will play for the Franchise Basketball team, headed by MCC men's basketball assistant Junior Kemp. J-Mac and Franchise will take on a team of MCC players, coaches and President R. Thomas Flynn.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and J-Mac will be signing autographs from 6-6:30 p.m. Admission at the gate is $6. Proceeds from the event will benefit Franchise Basketball, the MCC Athletic Department, and Autism Awareness.
