TCC: 2022 Winter Teaching Institute - Save the Date and Call for Proposals
2022 Winter Teaching Institute – Save the Date and Call for Proposals
Save the Date for this year’s virtual Winter Teaching Institute on January 19, 2022. This year we will be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the TCC at the Winter Teaching Institute. Morning WTI sessions will be based off TCC’s Greatest Hits updated for 2022.
TCC Anniversary Survey:
Help contribute to the development of this year’s WTI by submitting a TCC 20th Anniversary Survey located on the TCC Blackboard page. The survey consists of 3 questions:
- What was your favorite TCC event? Please tell us when it was, what happened and why it stands out to you.
- What is something that you have learned through the TCC that you carry with you?
- Much of our learning has been in collaboration with colleagues. Who would you like to thank for changing your thinking or supporting your professional learning? Please describe how this person impacted you personally or professionally.
Interested in presenting? The committee is interested in finding presenters to contribute to the following sessions:
- Cool Tools: Technology Tools/Apps/Websites
- Teacher’s Toolkit (formerly GIFTs - Great Ideas for Teaching) – Teaching Tools centered around one of the following: First Day of Class, Engaging Students in Learning, Course Design and Lesson Planning, Active Learning, or Rubrics and Assessment Techniques.
If you have interest in participating, please email Erin Strobl (estrobl@monroecc.edu) for committee consideration by Friday, October 29.
Afternoon Open House - Call for Proposals
Back again this year! Due to the flexibility of the online format, we also want to offer afternoon Open House sessions (30 min time slots between 1 – 4pm) to learn about services or initiatives at MCC. Do you have something to share with the college community and would like the TCC to advertise your session as part of the WTI Open House?
If yes: Please email your interest to Erin Strobl (estrobl@monroecc.edu) by Friday, October 29. You will need to provide
- 2-3 times you are available (30 minute time slots between 1-4pm on 1/19/22). You will present once, but we will try to prevent schedule overlap as much as possible
- Provide a Title of your session
- Provide a brief description of the session
What to Expect:
- We will contact you with your session time for January 19, 2022
- Plan to give a brief overview on your topic of choice and allow time for Q and A after
- Record your session and we will upload it to the TCC Blackboard page after the event
If you have questions, please email Erin Strobl (estrobl@monroecc.edu).
Thank you!
