New this year to EDU 200 Service- Learning students is a “Forgotten Heroes of Black History” project. Professor Janet Waasdorp has been working with interested students to create activities for use within the Rochester City School District. Students have been researching and developing age-appropriate activities for RCSD students from grades 1 – 12 to that they may fully understand the contributions, histories, struggles, tenacity and fortitude of who came to America either as a free man, slave, or indentured servant. Congratulations to Professor Waasdorp and her students for their important work!
