Upward Bound Senior Day

Senior year can be one of the most stressful years for a high school student, as they are scrambling to take exams, and complete college applications. In an effort to make this year less stressful Upward Bound hosted Senior Day on December 23rd. Senior Day is a day dedicated to UB seniors. Students who attended were given quality time to work on their common application, scholarships and financial aid applications with the assistance of UB staff members. During lunch, participants were given the opportunity to unwind and open up about the stresses they are facing during the application process. Many were worried about meeting deadlines, but expressed their interest in receiving a degree. Now is the most crucial time for students who are planning to go to college, as application deadlines are quickly coming to a close. The Upward Bound staff would like to remind all seniors that we are here to help you through this long process. And don’t forget to complete your taxes in order to finalize your financial aid, and have someone read over any and all scholarship and application essays. We can’t wait to see the great places this year’s class of graduates will go!
