STEP Science Bowl 2008 - this Saturday at DCC!


Join us for STEP Science Bowl 2008 - part of the U.S. Department of Energy's National Science Bowl.
 
24 teams of high school students - featuring talented youth from groups historically underrepresented in science - will go head to head in a fast-paced, jeaopardy style competition where they will answer questions in all branches of science and math.  The winning team will receive an all expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. to represent the region at the National Science Bowl.

12:30 pm - 1:30 pm    Semifinals & Finals
1:30 pm - 2:15 pm     Lunch

2:30 pm - 3:30 pm     Awards
 
STEP Science Bowl 2008 is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, Monroe Community College, the Rochester Institute of Technology, the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and the Lewis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Program.  The Science & Technology Entry Program (STEP) is a NY Education Department grant funded pre-collegiate program that aims to support and encourage youth from historically underrepresented groups to pursue college and careers in science, technology, health related fields, and state licensed professions.
