Employee Accounts for Brightspace

We thank everyone for their patience as we worked to get our existing employee accounts set up for Brightspace. We are happy to report that current employees should now have access. However, there is not yet an automated process to create accounts for new hires. This is an evolving process. This was a huge undertaking because of the SUNY Global ID requirement needed to create Brightspace accounts.  Thank you to both Jamie Hoover (Virtual Campus) and Susan Athalye (Computing) for all of their work on this enormous task. 

If you are interested in accessing Brightspace, follow these instructions to get started. 

How to Login: 

  1. Go to the myMCC portal: mymcc.monroecc.edu
  2. Click on the Brightspace tile and when prompted, use your MCC email and password to login and authenticate using MFA. Alternatively, use mylearning.monroecc.edu to go directly to Brightspace.
  3. Once logged in, you will land on the MCC institution homepage in Brightspace. 
  4. If you experience any issues with your MCC account, please reach out to 292-TECH.

We will be working on getting everyone enrolled into our MCC Online Student Orientation which provides a basic introduction to using Brightspace. 

As a reminder, all existing trainings and organizations are still hosted in our Blackboard system and still running concurrently through December 21, 2022, so you will not see much content in your view in Brightspace until we work on transitioning these spaces during the fall semester.

If you need access to a specific course in order to assist that course’s instructor, please reach out to that instructor. Instructors have the ability to enroll you in their course(s) themselves.
