Dr. Joanna Tsai (Biology) was invited by Cynthia Smith (Health Professions), president of the Rochester Society of Radiologic Technologists, to speak at their meeting on November 29, 2006. Tsai spoke to the group of radiologic technologists and students about ergonomics at work and important radiographic elements requested by clinical chiropractors.
Tsai’s presentation emphasized the importance of how good body mechanics, such as posture, incorporated with sound ergonomics, can prevent many injuries. The lecture also included a closer look at the scope of chiropractic care and the types of radiographs often ordered by chiropractors. Tsai, who owns a private practice, mentioned that chiropractors tend to practice slightly differently from one to another. mailto:rcondello@monroecc.edu
