Books are a very big and expensive part of college life. Fortunately, financial aid can be used to pay for books and supplies. Students can get a book store credits in the financial aid office to buy books and supplies in our MCC Bookstore.
How to get a book store credit
To obtain a book credit you must:
1. complete the entire financial aid application process
2. submit all required documents to the College
3. have more than enough financial aid to cover your bill
If you apply for Financial Aid early enough and are eligible for enough aid, the College will establish a "book credit" in the bookstore.
Summer book credits be availability
Book Credits will be available on Monday, May 19, 2008.
Book Store Credits Amount:
The amount of the book credit is based on:
1. the number of credit hours a student is taking
2. the amount of financial aid a student is receiving
Typically, you may receive $40.00 per class credit to buy books
If you do not use all of your available book credit, the remaining amount will be mailed to you after the College confirms your attendance to classes.
Book credit increase
Book credit increase is allowed only for REQUIRED books and if student has excess financial aid. We need copy of receipts of all items purchased with financial aid and a voided receipt of the additional items to be purchased. Please have these items ready before coming up to the financial aid window.
