Fundamentals of statics applied to problems of engineering interest. A vector algebra approach will be presented. Topics include equivalent force systems, equilibrium, structural mechanics, friction, properties of surfaces. Three class hours. Offered every Fall. Offered in Spring during odd numbered years.
Prerequisites
MTH 211; PHY 161 with a grade of C or higher. .
