Addiction the Family Disease

This course will focus on addiction and its impact on the family system. The emphasis of this course is from students' points of view to better their understanding of being healthy individuals in relation to their own lives. The course will examine the stages of the addictive family, behaviors and roles that are ?played out? by its members. It will explore how addiction affects family relationships and why. Intervention, recovery, co-dependency and enabling will be explored from the perspective of the layperson. 3 credits
