Politics, Government and Culture of Europe

This course is designed toprovide the opportunity to see and experience representative political and government systems, aswell as the cultural richness of Europe, through the unique experience of travel. The core part of this course is a stay in the country or countries, with visits to the main government and cultural centers. Class meetings prior to the trip will focus on topics that will help the student to prepare for the experience, and meetings after the trip will provide a time for debriefing, reporting, evaluation and assessment. The student is expected to make an oral presentation prior to departure, complete a number of tasks during the stay, and submit a portfolio upon return. 3 credits.
