Reading Strategies (Non-Credit)*

This course is designed to help students refine their reading skills in order to enhance college success. The course curriculum develops general reading skills in addition to content specific reading strategies. Students will develop an increased ability in literal and interpretive comprehension, as well as develop college study reading techniques. Students will gain practice in reading and metacognitive skills in addition to vocabulary development relevant to their fields of study. The course is designed for students in the Transitional Studies Program, as well as students who have been accepted into degree or certificate programs with specified Accuplacer reading scores. Three imputed credit hours, no earned credits, three class hours per week; three fee hours. No Credit.
