Welcome to the Homeland Security Management Institute’s web page. Our motto is “Whatever it Takes” which fully characterizes our mission of one-stop training offering the best practices in the industry. Simply stated, bring us your requirements and we’ll fill them with the best possible cost-effective solution.
The Homeland Security Management Institute (HSMI) was launched in December 2003. Its vision is to be a regional authority on homeland security training. As such, the HSMI strives to ensure that all public and private employees and officials are prepared to prevent, respond to, and manage the impact and consequences of any incident stemming from a terrorist/criminal attack or other manmade catastrophic emergency.
The mission of the HSMI is to provide expertise in homeland security training. As such, HSMI:
Through a network of community colleges and other training entities, HSMI can provide local, regional and national services.
Our modalities of training include traditional classroom at our site or yours, online educational development and delivery and mobile training teams capable of local, regional and national outreach.
Our onsite training is generally conducted at the Monroe County Public Safety Training Facility, located at 1190 Scottsville Road in Rochester, New York. This 26 million dollar complex serves as the training center for all first responders in Monroe County and the City of Rochester and represents one of the finest examples of intergovernmental cooperation between municipalities and the educational community.
There are many companies today that provide homeland security training. A few are quite good. But we believe none can match the combination of expertise, resource depth, and cost-effectiveness of the Homeland Security Management Institute.
The professionals at HSMI are eager to help you and your organization meet your homeland security needs in the best and most cost-effective manner.
