HVA 181 - Transition to HVAC/R Technology

3 Credits

This course is designed to introduce transitional studies students to the HVAC/R Industry. Topics covered are; safety, basic electricity, the refrigeration cycle, refrigeration cycle components,and the skills required to be a entry level technician in the HVAC/R Industry. The students will be introduced to the hands-on skills of; brazing, soldering, measuring, cutting, and sizing of piping, sheet metal fabrication, and wiring of basic HVAC/R controls. The course is 3 Credit Hours.
