HSA 280 - Airport Screener Supervision

1-3 Credits

This course introduces the student to the vital roles of the supervisor. As the intermediary between the management and line officers, the TSA supervisor performs a wide assortment of administrative duties and is responsible for the implementation of much of the agency's mission. Among the most important attributes are strong communications skills. Students will examine how the supervisor must be able to clearly state objectives and commands, as well as effectively hear and process subordinates' reports, input and other communications. One class hour. Offered Fall and Spring Semesters.

Prerequisite: Active TSA screener certification and permission of instructor.
