HIS 288 - The Solider, U.S. Society, and War: A Historical Perspective

3 Credits

This course will explain and will analyze--both for veterans and non-veterans--the various impacts of war on both individuals and United States society. Through the examination of selected U.S. wars, students will examine various political and social aspects of war; how the United States has waged war and has reacted to war; and the effects of war on individual combatants and their families and other relations.

Co-requisites: Suggested Prepatory Courses: ENG 101; HIS 111 and/or HIS 112
