Highlight: TCC continued engagement through COVID
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, faculty, coordinated by the TCC, had daily zoom hours to support each other with the transition to remote learning in the spring. This fall, Amy Burtner, the TCC steering committees and programming leadership redesigned all 2020-2021 programming for remote delivery. This includes conversations and workshops as well as adjunct faculty events, faculty mentor program, first and second year faculty series, reading groups, and reflective practice groups. COVID specific resources were added to the TCC website https://www.monroecc.edu/organizations/tcc/ and the TCC Blackboard organization (found at MyMCC/Employees/Professional Development tab) has been enhanced to include more recordings of events for faculty who are unable to participate at the scheduled time. I want to specifically thank those volunteers who not only created/facilitated programming for their colleagues, but also reworked their engagement strategy for the remote environment. Their work resulted in an attendance increase of 33% for the Fall 2020 TCC events.
