Ngozi Udo (she/her) is a community educator coming into her work with a lifelong passion for racial, reproductive, and economic justice for folks who have experienced gender related injustices. Join us for her presentation taking us on a deep dive into the history of birth, and the evolution of race as a driver of health status.
A History of Birth and Racially Driven Health Care Practices: How can we address our own biases to transform care?
- Conversation will follow to explore evidence-based practices that can be used to identify, respond, and react to the origins of biases in our policies, and how they manifest in our day-today interactions with fellow students, colleagues, ad our greater communities
- Come as you are – no prior experience, major, or knowledge is expected
- Open to all MCC students and faculty – option to join remotely through Zoom*
- Light refreshments provided
