Integrating New Technology in the Nursing Department

The Nursing department was able to purchase brand new medication administration systems, including carts, computers on wheels with scanners, and an electronic medical record called EHRGo for use with the first semester nursing students. These were successfully integrated into the third week of class that focused on medication administration and medication safety. This equipment greatly enhances learning, and the understanding of the processes in place in the healthcare world that helps keep patients safe.  The attached pictures illustrate the students safely administering medications in the classroom in preparation for their clinical rotations.
